John Griffith graduated from Walpole High School in 1990. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Springfield College in 1995, and a Masters of Education degree in Administration from Cambridge College in 2003. John served as a Wellesley High School class advisor from 2003-2005. He is also a co-founder of the Wellesley Speed and Conditioning Clinic.

In addition to teaching, John enjoys coaching, the outdoors, and running around with his daughter.
After graduating from Walpole High School, John went on to play inside linebacker at Springfield College where he was a two-year captain and earned consecutive All-New England honors. Now, John is the defensive coordinator for the WHS football team.
John has also coached the Girls Indoor and Outdoor Track team since 2008 and has led the team to be 7-time Herget Champions. He also led the girls to win 4 State Championships, and the All-State Championship in 2018.
